Just a quick update...I just spoke with Dr. Tom Watt, the other person involved in the crash and he said he was doing well and returned to work today. He wanted me to express his gratitude to everyone who assisted us from the medics, firemen, ambulance and hospital personnel. He also wanted to say a special thank you to whoever was responsible for getting his truck and bike to the hospital for him. He said this was above and beyond the call of duty. Everyone was so nice. This was Tom's first time to participate in a GCRC event. I'm sure he will remember us fondly.

He did say he would definitely be back to do another of our events, but he was thinking maybe a 5k. I asked if he kayaked and he said he did. I suggested he come back for the Yak-A-Du in Sept. I also pointed out that the paddle portion was held in a river that was mostly shallow. I would just like to add my personal thanks one more time. After hearing Tom's comments it made me so proud to be a part of this group. Once again it was shown how we support each other in a time of crisis. Y'all are the best!
