Our race director is having surgery on his shoulder today. He over extended himself on the bike ride in N.O. Broke three ribs and smashed his collar bone. Dr. Noblin is doing the reconstruction. Lets all wish him speedy recovery. He says he will be @ the WoolMarket Du. but will need extra help due to fact he will be limited as to what he can do. BC

Gulf Coast Running Club members. Leonard had surgery at 1PM for his broken collar bone. He should be just about our of recovery now and will be going home this afternoon. The doctor said that it was successful and he should make a full recovery. Please keep him in your prayers.

any body willing to help should be at the race site by 7 a,m. Helping unloading the van and setting up the bike racks and regestration. also the clock and finish line area. Adam is in charge of the water stop on the run and I will be setting out the bike course. and putting out the mile marks and turn around on the run.

Finally back home now. Been being pampered by my mother the last few days. Got a plate put in the clavical, so it's back one piece (sort of). At least it wasn't a leg injury this time. Can get around and drive just fine, but will be a one armed race director for Saturday. Many offers already for help, so we should be good to go. Thanks again for all the email and calls. Should be back running and racing again in a few weeks. Lesson learned. Be careful out there.
